Structure of Molecular Imaging Research Center

    Molecular Imaging Research Center (MIRC) integrated multiple research units of Central South University. Researchers at MIRC include scientists and physicians from Cancer Research Institute, Radiology Department of Xiangya Hospital, the Second Xiangya Hospital and the Third Xiangya Hospital, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Department of Laboratory Animal Science.

Molecular Imaging Research Center Cross Multiple Disciplines

    Molecular Imaging Research Center (MIRC) of Central South University is a research platform of molecular imaging which is involved in multiple disciplinary. It includes clinical medicine, tumor molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, radiology, biomedicine engineering, pharmacology, laboratory zoology and bioethics and also strengthens cooperation and exchanges between basic research and clinical application.

     The Director of MIRC is responsible for scientific research and management of the whole center. Scientifics Advisor Board (SAB) members are leading scientists from China and abroad in the molecular imaging related fields. SAB supervises the research direction, evaluation of research progresses and organizing research projects. The center is constituted of Molecular Probe Laboratory, Basic Research Laboratory, Clinical Application Laboratory and Data and Imaging Processing Laboratory and one management office.
